Alain Rayes' Conservatives in a strong lead in Richmond-Arthabaska - Journal: La Nouvelle Union
Montreal - On April 20, 2021, StratComTendances Inc. conducted a telephone enumeration in the federal riding of Richmond-Arthabaska on voters' voting intentions in the upcoming federal election.
All 38,882 available telephone numbers in the federal riding were contacted. A total of 2,433 voters decided to answer the question: "If a federal election were held today, who would you vote for? The statistics derived from this study are very accurate given the large amount of data collected for the targeted geographic area.
Voting intentions for the next federal election in Richmond-Arthabaska
The current Conservative MP, Mr. Alain Rayes, obtained 40.03% of the votes, Justin Trudeau's Liberals obtained 19.48%, the Bloc Québécois of the potential candidate Diego Scalzo obtained 17.8%, Jagmeet Singh's NDP obtained 1.73%, Annamie Paul's Green Party obtained 1.97%, Maxime Bernier's Parti Populaire obtained 1.81%, with 17.18% of the voters being undecided
The study was a census type, meaning that all available telephone numbers were contacted. A survey type study contacts only a sample of the basin. Considering the number of numbers contacted and the high rate of data collected, the margin of error of this study is around 1%.
The telephone census was conducted by StratComTendances Inc. a company operating throughout Quebec that specializes in the collection of megadata and accurate statistics.
The federal riding of Richmond-Arthabaska was selected for this census-type study because it is one of the barometer ridings for the Conservatives in Quebec. In addition, the former mayor of Victoriaville and current MP, Mr. Alain Rayes, will likely be challenged by the current mayor of Warwick, Mr. Diego Scalzo. Mr. Scalzo has confirmed that he will be running for the nomination as the Bloc candidate in the riding of Richmond-Arthabaska in the next federal election.
